Road Tour Corporate Wellness Program 2026
-
A Strategic Initiative by PMX Malaysia Sdn Bhd to Enhance Employee Health and Performance
Date: 14 – 23 January 2026
Locations: Nusajaya, Cyberjaya, Petaling Jaya & Nilai
In today’s increasingly demanding work environment, work-related health issues such as neck, shoulder and back pain, as well as musculoskeletal disorders, are becoming more prevalent particularly among employees exposed to prolonged static postures, repetitive movements and extensive computer use.
Recognising the importance of early intervention and long-term prevention, PMX Malaysia Sdn Bhd took a proactive step by organising the Road Tour Corporate Wellness Program 2026, a comprehensive and high-impact corporate health initiative.
The programme was conducted from 14 to 23 January 2026 across several strategic locations, namely Nusajaya, Cyberjaya, Petaling Jaya and Nilai, enabling broader access for employees across different operational sites. This road tour approach allowed health interventions to be delivered directly at the workplace, significantly enhancing employee engagement, awareness and participation.
The Road Tour Corporate Wellness Program was designed using a holistic framework that integrates medical education, ergonomic awareness and practical physiotherapy assessments. One of the key highlights of the programme was a medical talk and physiotherapy awareness session delivered by Dr. Muhamad Syarif bin Abd Wahab, which emphasised the vital role of physiotherapy not only in injury treatment, but also in injury prevention and long-term health management.
During the session, participants gained valuable insights into the early signs and symptoms of work-related musculoskeletal disorders, including recurring pain, muscle stiffness, numbness and reduced range of motion, conditions that are often overlooked but can significantly affect work performance and quality of life if left unaddressed.
In addition to the medical talk, the programme featured live demonstrations on correct posture and ergonomic workstation setup, tailored to common workplace environments. This practical session helped employees understand how small adjustments such as chair height, screen positioning, keyboard alignment and mouse usage can significantly reduce physical strain and improve overall comfort during daily work activities.
Such ergonomic interventions are particularly relevant in corporate settings, where prolonged poor posture may lead to chronic pain, decreased productivity, increased absenteeism and higher risk of long-term injury.
A key differentiator of the Road Tour Corporate Wellness Program was the provision of on-site physiotherapy assessments, allowing employees to receive professional evaluations without leaving the workplace. Conducted by qualified therapists, these assessments aimed to identify underlying musculoskeletal issues, movement limitations and risk factors that could potentially impact daily work functions. This on-site approach supports early detection and targeted intervention, aligning with corporate objectives to reduce workplace injuries, manage health risks proactively and promote sustainable employee well-being.
Throughout the programme, participants were also given the opportunity to engage directly with Dr. Syarif by asking medical-related questions, receive complimentary physiotherapy consultations with professional therapists, and experience modern rehabilitation treatments using advanced high-technology equipment, including radiofrequency-based therapy and state-of-the-art rehabilitation devices.
This hands-on exposure not only enhanced understanding of modern rehabilitation methods, but also highlighted how technology can be effectively integrated into physiotherapy to support recovery, pain management and functional improvement.
The Road Tour Corporate Wellness Program was aligned with PMX Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s key objectives to reduce work-related musculoskeletal issues, improve employee comfort, focus and performance, and support long-term corporate wellness initiatives. Programmes of this nature demonstrate that investing in employee health is a strategic decision that delivers long-term returns in productivity, morale and organisational sustainability.
Sincere appreciation is extended to PMX Malaysia Sdn Bhd for its proactive commitment to employee welfare and its initiative in introducing structured treatment and preventive plans to reduce the risk of workplace injuries.
This programme reflects the company’s dedication to fostering a healthier, safer and more resilient workforce, in line with the aspiration of “Humanising Rehabilitation Technology.”
